Wooden floors and lime-plastered walls.

The old underfloor beams had to be replaced. The bugs, age, and damp left probably 30% of wood in them. The floor was unstable, smelly and not straight.

I've pulled the old beams out and replaced them with new, treated so they will last another generation. To be able to install underfloor insulation, I've rolled out a vapour barrier.

And on the first floor, the mezzanine had already brand new beams, so only left was to lay the new floor.
